Back Plate Load Cell
Spine box with Back plate
The figure above shows the spine box from the back. The inner part of the back plate load cell is connected to the spine. The outer part is the adaptor to the back plate. A discrete beam between the two parts measures the forces and moments.

The figure shows the back plate assembly and a plane cut in y-direction. The discrete beam is located between the inner and outer part of the load cell. The local components to determine the forces and moments are shown in the table below:
