3.9 to 4.0.1

Modifications from v4.0 to v4.0.1

  • Accelerometer *ELEMENT_SEATBELT_ACCELEROMETER update
    • in order to match the accelerometer hardware the paramter IGRAV is changed from 0 to 1
    • this may lead to initial accelerations not equal to zero in whiplash after pre-simulation -> make sure the initial acceleration is the same as the hardware output (offset)
  • *CONTACT_GUIDED_CABLE_SET_ID instead of *CONTACT_GUIDED_CABLE_ID

Modifications from v3.9 to v4.0

  • Geometry update: finer mesh from C1 to T1
v3.9 v4.0

  • Jacket is adjusted to suit the new neck model
  • Cable model method: 1D beam elements instead of seatbelt elements to model the cable, *CONTACT_GUIDED_CABLE keyword is used to guide the 1D beam elements
v3.9 v4.0

The real cable thickness can be defined in 1D beam elements cable system. In version 4.0 contact details can be simulated, seatbelt element cable system modeling did not have this advantage behavior.

Repairing seatbelt elements after pre-simulation i no longer necessary anymore!

  • contact between neck bumper and cervical vertebrae: SOFT 2 contact type is used to improve contact behavior
  • parameters defined by *PARAMETER_EXPRESSION are now uncrypted
  • development time step is adjusted to 0.7 microseconds
  • other contact, material and debugs
